A SendCutSend Alternative for the Whole Part
MI CNC Parts is a SendCutSend alternative for the parts its published menu does not cover: a laser-cut and bent part that also needs a milled pocket or reamed dowel holes, or a fully milled, turned, wire EDM or ground part in steel, stainless, titanium, Delrin or PEEK. Send a STEP and a PDF print, and a person reads both and quotes the whole part in 24-48 hours.

What does SendCutSend’s published menu cover?
SendCutSend publishes its menu, and as of September 2026 it prices a part on upload. Its services page lists laser, waterjet and CNC routing for sheet parts, then bending, countersinking, dimple forming, hardware insertion, tapping, tumbling, anodizing, plating and powder coating (source 1). Its welding page covers bent sheet parts in 5052-H32 aluminum, mild steel and 304 stainless (source 4). A sheet part that fits those lists gets an instant price there, and for that part it is the quicker way to a price.
The CNC machining lane is narrower. SendCutSend’s CNC page lists 6061-T6 aluminum, with more materials and turning marked as coming soon, parts from 1 × 1 × 1 in to 7 × 7 × 12 in, and guaranteed cutting and positional tolerances of ±0.005 in (0.12 mm) or better (source 2). A 4140 shaft, a 17-4 stainless housing, an aluminum plate longer than 12 in or a D2 die profile falls outside that box.
What can one order here add to a sheet part?
A 0.125 in 5052-H32 or 304 blank, laser cut, tapped and countersunk, bent and fitted with hardware, can carry features the menu does not list: two dowel holes reamed after forming, a pocket milled into a flange, a face machined after welding. A finish called out on the print is quoted with the part. Reamed holes allow a pressed dowel pin to locate with no other retention (source 6). Every operation goes on one quote with one contact, which is how laser-cut parts are quoted here. Tapped and machined as one order walks through a typical mixed part, secondary machining covers the machined half, and a flat part with nothing added is quoted under laser cutting.
SendCutSend sets bend radius and K-factor per material thickness and does not change them on request (source 3). Those two numbers go into the flat pattern: the K-factor places the neutral line within the thickness, and the bend allowance is worked from it and the inside radius (source 5). Here, send the formed model with the bend dimensioned on the print. The inside radius is quoted as drawn, with a note if it won’t form. SendCutSend publishes ±1° on bend angle for bends up to 24 in, ±0.015 in bend to edge on a single flange and ±0.030 in bend to edge on a part with two parallel bends (source 3). If a dimension across a bend is called tighter than forming holds, the design review with the quote flags it before you order, and laser cut tolerances covers how to call out a formed dimension. Laser-cut and bent brackets covers what to put on a bent-part print.
Which machined parts does the CNC lane not cover?
A steel or stainless plate, housing or block, or an aluminum one longer than 12 in, goes to CNC milling, which cuts flat faces, flat-bottomed pockets and slots with rotary cutters (source 7). Shafts, bushings and standoffs are turned, and SendCutSend lists turning as coming soon (source 2); CNC turning cuts diameters, tapers, grooves, bores and threads on a rotating workpiece (source 8). A punch or die profile in hardened tool steel goes to wire EDM, which cuts conductive metal and is typically used for punches, tools and dies in hard metal (source 9). A pin or bore that needs a very accurate size or a very fine finish, including one in steel that is already hardened, goes to precision grinding (source 10).
Aluminum 6061 and 7075, stainless 303, 304, 316 and 17-4 PH, steel including A2 and D2 tool steel, brass, titanium, Delrin and PEEK are all quoted. Other alloys and plastics quoted on request. Name the grade on the print. Typical machined tolerance is ±0.005 in, ±0.001 in on critical turned diameters, and down to ±0.0002 in on wire-EDM and other finished features; ground features are quoted to ±0.0001 in. The tighter figures apply to the features your print marks, and CNC machining tolerances explains how to call one out.
Can the gauges and fixtures go on the same order?
Yes. Custom gauges (plug, pin, go/no-go and thread) are quoted from their print, and custom fixtures for assembly, welding, inspection and machining are built to your print from the same drawing set. A bracket, its check fixture and the locating pins that go in it can be one order.
How does a quote from a person differ from an instant price?
The quote is built from the model and the PDF print together: the material callout, the tolerances, the thread and hardware callouts, the bend radius and the finish. There is no account or portal. The quote comes back by email as a PDF with the price and the lead time. The design review that comes with it flags anything that cannot be made or inspected as drawn and any callout that costs more than it needs to; it does not redesign the part. Drop the files at the top of this page or send them through the quote form, and the person who quoted the job is the one who answers when you reply.
Ordering, payment and paperwork
Vendor setup in a day: W-9, NDA, net terms available. Card by secure link (a processing fee applies), ACH, wire or check. Parts ship anywhere in the US. Shipping is quoted as its own line, or ships on your carrier account. If a part doesn’t match the print, it’s remade or credited.
SendCutSend takes requests for material certifications at checkout, for sheet and billet materials (source 11). No C of C or material certifications ship with parts by default. If your PO needs them, say so before the quote. Inspection reports on critical dimensions aren’t included by default. If you need one, ask when you place the order.

Questions
Before you send a job.
01 Who are SendCutSend’s competitors?
Three routes quote the same kinds of part: other instant-quote platforms for sheet and CNC work, local fabrication and machine shops, and suppliers that quote from the print, like this one. For machined parts, the Xometry, Protolabs and Fictiv pages compare each platform with this route, and the three-way comparison sets two of them side by side from their published terms.
02 Will a quote here cost more than SendCutSend?
It depends on the part. If you hold a SendCutSend price for the same part, send it with the files, quantity and finish, and meet-or-beat pricing gets you a matching or lower price or a plain no. Ask for more than one quantity, such as 1, 25 and 100, and the quote shows each; no minimum order explains how a one-off is quoted.
03 How do lead times compare with SendCutSend?
SendCutSend’s CNC page says machined parts ship in 2-5 days depending on order quantity, and its welding page says welding adds 2-4 days (sources 2 and 4). A fully machined part here runs on the three delivery tiers in the At a Glance panel, so even rush is measured in weeks. A part whose route includes laser cutting is quoted per job, rush available, even when it also has machined features, bends, hardware or welding; those tiers do not apply to it. Rush 1-2 weeks applies to machined parts with no secondary operations. Heat treat, grinding, EDM and finishing add time, and the quote gives the real date. Lead time starts at order approval. Put your need date in the part description and the quote answers it.
04 Can I send a DXF the way I would to SendCutSend?
Yes. SendCutSend’s pages list .ai, .dxf, .dwg, .eps, .stp and .step as upload formats (source 2), and every one of them can be sent here. A DXF is enough for a flat part. For a bent or machined part, add a PDF print, because the bend radius, thread callouts and tolerances on it are what the quote is built from.
05 What if I do not have a full drawing?
Send what you have through the quote form: a STEP or DXF, a dimensioned sketch, a new sample part, or photos with a ruler in frame, and the quote lists anything still missing, such as a material grade, a thread depth or a finish callout. If the part starts from a sketch, sample or photos, the CAD model is quoted as its own line; a fully dimensioned 2D PDF is quoted without a CAD line. A STEP file of a machined part with no drawing is quoted to a ±0.005 in general tolerance, or the one your notes name, so mark any feature that needs tighter. For a laser-cut or bent part with no drawing, the quote states the tolerance used. Uploading a STEP file covers that case in more detail.
